A recent study has found that dairy products do not prevent age-related bone loss or fractures in perimenopausal and menopausal women. I suppose this is good news for vegans or people who are lactose intolerant or if you are like me and want to make sure that I’m putting all the good stuff in my body and am happy to try new recipes.
I tried almond milk, and I was not too impressed, but nothing can beat making our own as it just does not compare to the processed supermarket brands
Below is a lovely recipe that my cousin from Heal the world with words sent over to me.
You will need a milk nut bag I get mine from here


And you will need some decent jars for storage I use the ecology ones


Almond Milk
Equipment
- Blender
- Nut Bag
- Glass Jar
- Funnel (optional)
Ingredients
- 200 grams Organic Almonds soacked over night in cool water
- 2 cups Water
- 2 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 pinch Sat
Instructions
- Put all the ingridients into a blender, I used my nutribulet and blend until the contents are smoothe
- Pour the contents into a nut milk bag
- Squeeze over a bowl or jug until the liquid is extracted
- Then transfer in to a bottle of your choice
- Its best to use a funnel
